SPECTATOR is a Tokyo based culture magazine, published twice a year since 1999 by The Editorial Department Inc. Having editorial policy that gives useful information to people who intend to create alternative communities according to their own values and ideas. We have featured topics such as unique communities both inside and outside Japan, alternative perspectives in our society, essays on media and cultural studies, various magazines, music festivals throughout the world and so on.
